Ir. R. Sreedaran is a highly accomplished Senior Coastal Engineer with over 23 years of professional experience in water engineering, specifically in hydrology, hydraulics, and coastal management. He currently serves as the Managing Director of SK Water Consult Sdn. Bhd., having transitioned to private consultancy after a distinguished two-decade career with the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID/JPS) Malaysia.

Karthigeyan holds the prestigious FIG/IHO/ICA Category A Hydrographer certification, meeting the highest international standards for Port Management and Coastal Engineering hydrography. He is also a Department of Environment (DOE) Registered EIA Subject Specialist, specifically certified for:
– Coastal and River Hydraulic Modelling
– Dredging and Reclamation
Professional Achievements
Before his leadership roles in private consultancy, he served as a Research Officer at the National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM). His contributions to the field were recognized with the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) in 2011. He is a Life Member of both the Malaysia Stormwater Organisation (MSO) and the National Hydrographic Organization (Malaysia).
